SOLAR POWER PLANT

At ARCONT, we believe that investing in renewable energy is the key to a brighter and more sustainable future.

We built our first solar power plant with Bisol 12 years ago. At that time, it was the largest rooftop power plant in Pomurje and one of the largest in Slovenia.

This year, we have enhanced our environmental responsibility with two new acquisitions. In March, two additional solar power plants with a nominal power of 1MW and 0.6MW started operating on our roofs. The investment was co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the Cohesion Fund.

We now have all suitable available spaces at our company headquarters covered with solar panels.

Together with the already existing power plant, this represents:

• 25,800 m2 of surfaces covered with solar panels;
• The annual production of 7,798 solar panels is estimated at approximately 2,700 MWh of electricity, which would be sufficient to supply 675 households and sustainably cover approximately one third of our energy needs;
• With solar power plants on our roofs, we save more than 1,600 tons of CO2.
